Hi everyone
Ok so i'm obviously new to the mac world, and i'm trying my best to understand the principles of the OS.
I'm getting frustrated specially with creating .cue files. I could find this on the net for a specific big mp3 file:

PERFORMER "TMP"
TITLE "Trance Harmony 001"
FILE "TMP - Trance Harmony 001.mp3" MP3
TRACK 01 AUDIO
PERFORMER "Claudia Cazacu"
TITLE "Translucent (Original Mix)"
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 02 AUDIO
PERFORMER "Dreastic"
TITLE "Spirit (Dreas Original Mix)"
INDEX 01 07:13:10
TRACK 03 AUDIO
PERFORMER "Lang & Yep"
TITLE "Perfect Moments (Original Mix)"
INDEX 01 13:28:60
TRACK 04 AUDIO
PERFORMER "Daniel Wanrooy"
TITLE "Ocean Terrace (T4L Remix)"
INDEX 01 20:06:70
TRACK 05 AUDIO
PERFORMER "Semantica"
TITLE "Natural Wonders"
INDEX 01 26:43:50
TRACK 06 AUDIO
PERFORMER "7 Skies & Kiholm"
TITLE "Lost & Found (Suncatcher Remix)"
INDEX 01 34:25:40
TRACK 07 AUDIO
PERFORMER "Mike Foyle presents Statica"
TITLE "Blossom"
INDEX 01 41:23:60
TRACK 08 AUDIO
PERFORMER "Ehren Stowers"
TITLE "Ascent (Original Mix)"
INDEX 01 48:03:70
TRACK 09 AUDIO
PERFORMER "Fender Woods"
TITLE "Ain\'t She Pretty (Amurai Yerevan Remix)"
INDEX 01 55:51:42
TRACK 10 AUDIO
PERFORMER "Whelan & Di Scala"
TITLE "Achilles (Original Mix)"
INDEX 01 61:42:55

So I copied the entire thing on TextEdit, and tried to save it as a .cue file. All good. However, when i opened it with 'cue splitter', it gives me nothing, and i'm unable to cut the big mp3 files into smaller ones.
Could anyone give me a hand??
Thanks

It doesn't help. This is a program to change audio files into different ones. I just need to know how to make an appropriate .cue sheet that is working with 'cue splitter' so i can cut the bigger mp3 into smaller ones. Thanks

Well i try to save the file in any of the options available (FTF, RTFD, HTML, Web Archive, odt, docx, doc or Word 2003 XML Format), and then change the extension to .cue
Still, nothing happens, and when it was meant to have the tracklisting in 'cue splitter', it's just blank. :-/

None of those formats are plain text. Convert it using Format > Make Plain Text or pressing command + Shift + T.

Jolly Jimmy, you're a real champ! It works perfectly after saving it as a .txt and then changing the extension to .cue!!
Amazing!!!
Thanks a million, you made my day..!!:)

Glad you found a solution. You should still try XLD for you audio needs, great program :p
