iPad mini Cult of Mac's iPad Mini review a little overboard?

Just trying to get more traffic to their site. And it worked, I clicked on it and I don't normally go there, ever.
Agreed. Even more but 24hrs at least. I have both a N7 and iPad mini. Will play with them over the next couple weeks and make up my mind. I am trying to come to this decision as honestly as possible but knew I couldn't do it by spending 5-10 min playing with them at the store.
I do agree that Apple should have A) released it with a retina screen or B) lowered the price.....
It's obvious that Apple held back the retina screen for the second generation, they are very wise and shrewd business people, and you can't really blame them because their goal is to make as much money as possible.... They will release this iPad Mini sell a boatload over the holidays... then in 7-11 months or so release the retina version and sell a boatload more. Ka-ching! Apple executives are happy, stock holders are happy, folks buying used ipad minis that will flood the market are happy.

Holy ****. Worst review for the mini so far. It really didn't touch much on the main selling point of the mini. Size and portability. That's the target market for those looking for an alternative to the regular iPad.
Skimmed through it. The only review I've seen so far that described the mini's performance as sluggish, although the author never elaborates on exactly how it was sluggish. All of the other reviews I've seen so far rate the performance as comparable to the iPad 2/3. According to John Gruber the mini's Geekbench and SunSpider benchmarks are spot on with those of the iPad 3.
As to whether or not you should wait until the second generation when has that not been true of any Apple product?

Any plans on posting a mini review somewhere down the road. I'm pretty firmly in the Apple camp but still interested in what the other guy may be doing.
It's clearly a dud! It will be interesting to compare the ipad 4 and ipad mini sales this weekend.....
I am also (at least thought I was) in the Apple camp. But figured I would give the N7 a shot. I'll try my best to do a review.

Haha. Just listened to the Cult of Mac Cultcast and John Brownlee is a very negative person it seems. That review was inevitable.
I bet the reason Apple has it priced at 329 is so that they're not taking a loss when they upgrade it to retina, and they can brag about it still being the same price.
