I'm a new mac user and I'm looking for some sort of database software. I am doing some anthropological work overseas and would like to find something that I could organize my culture findings in. Does anybody know of something helpful? Thanks.

Well, there is a database program in NeoOffice along with the word processor, spreadsheet and presentation apps. It is free, so you could look into it. If you don't mind paying, there is FileMaker, which gets mentioned a lot on these boards. I've never really dabbled in database apps, so I cannot speak from personal experience.
