Hi,

I am running OS X 10.4.8, CUPS 1.2.4, and Gutenprint
5.0.0. I have tried to hook up my old NEC Superscript
1400 via USB to my PB PPC 1.5GHz. I cannot get the
printer to print.

Upon sending a document to the printer, the printer app
opens, and the windows indicates that I am connecting
to the printer, and then it comes to "Printing page 1,
X% completed." X can equal any low number; so far, I
have obtained a 1, 3, 6, 8, 9, and 15.

I used to be able to get this to run under beta 2 or
RC1 by selecting an HP laserjet (4?) driver. Even this
solution seems not to work now.

(I was quite excited about the possibility of a
specific driver for my printer, because it's been a
good one, and I hate to dump it just because it's old.
I was hoping for better performance on the new driver.)

Any suggestions for how I might proceed to get this
working and me printing?
