We all know that, despite being the greatest company in the world and utterly above any form of criticism whatsoever, even Apple finds it hard to predict the utterly obvious massive demand for the Apple Watch.

It was, therefore, unavoidable that it would be unable to meet the demand for the Apple Watch. And the straps. Which aren't available till June.

Yet, strangely, there are plenty of chargers and all-new foldaway UK plugs. Somehow they were bang on the money with their predictions for those. Lots in stock. No waiting.

Curious.

They did not have to customize the chargers and wall plugs. They are what they are. Bands however need to be matched to the watch and packed for shipping specific to your request. The process will get faster.

Based on dates of manufacture talked about a week ago they are doing well to have so many out the door. I don't think they even started mass production until a few weeks ago.

Uh, the chargers and UK wall plugs are all the same.. no size differences, colors, materials, etc... there are dozens (if not hundreds) of possible combinations of the Apple Watch. The problem is that you can't accruately predict the possible demand for each and every combo.

AW seems to be sort of "made to order"

Would have been much smoother if the watch was sold separate from the bands.
