Curious, anyway to know the clock speed of the A4 in the iPhone?

I'm wondering if there is anyway to know if the clock speed of the A4 in the iPhone 4 is 1GHz, or have they perhaps under-clocked it to save battery life?

I have an app called Checkup that I got for free (still available for $0.99) that tells you the clock speed of the device. I'll be installing it when I get my phone on the 24th to find out.
