Curious Safari Behavior Question

Has anyone noticed that when using Gmail that when clicking buttons in the Gmail interface such as the "Archive" button the click does not seem to work and you have to click the button again? I know I am not imagining this. I have Saft installed with Safari as well. What about any other sites or situations where someone has noticed this behavior.

No problems here. They all work on the first click.

Are you sure the window is already selected before you try clicking? (I know - it sounds like a stupid question, but I just wanted to make sure).
