iPad Pro Current (2022) IPad Pro 12.9 using a DoD CAC?

I want to start using an IPad Pro 12.9 in the year 2022

Has anyone been able to use a DoD CAC with the above hardware? Specifically to login to .mil sites? Everything I’ve found is a couple of years old. Nothing current.

its difficult at best. I’ve used SubRosa to do it but its not an ideal experience. Macs aren’t much better.

Nope on iOS or iPadOS unless you have specific third party hardware which sucks as well. Best place to go for info is militarycac.com

MacOS is really easy these days if you use Chrome as there’s no modifications needed just plug in a card reader and you’re good to go. Safari is doable but you have to add the DoD certificates into the MacOS keychain and some sites are still hit or miss. Instructions are provided on that website.
