Hi, i'm buying an Airport Extreme off a friend and I wanted to know if it was the latest generation:

Apple Airport Extreme 802.11n
Part No.MB053B/A Model No.A1143

Is the details above the latest generation?

Thanks all :)

I don't think so. You could do this yourself very quickly but I went over to Apple.com, picked Airport Extreme and hit "add to cart". Once in my cart the part number showed up as:

* Ships: Within 24hrs
* Part number: MC340LL/A

You definitely don't want an older AE ad the new model offers important features like simultaneous high speed and low speed wifi which means an older iPod Touch won't drag your newer gear down to 802.11g speeds. Another important new feature is a guest network. If these 2 features are important to you, I would pass on the used unit and buy new. I don't know why AE isn't on Macrumor's Buyer's Guide. They really should add it.
