With the news that 02 will no longer be selling the current gen. iPhone, what will happen to those of us with insurance through o2 if we have to get them replaced?

typically cell phone companies use a third-party insurance company for their replacement plans. so when you call to put in a claim for a lost/stolen/damaged phone you are directed to this other company who provides you with the replacement phone. and i'm sure they still have plenty.

side note: i didn't know o2 was offering insurance plans on the iPhone. must be nice.

Yea they are, aren't ATT?

No. ATT policy is to not insure any smartphones. It's a pain. And they won't stop payments if you switch to a smartphone, you need to contact them yourself to get it off your bill.

Man. What a crock. You'd think they would as its a nice little money maker!!!
