I have an older unibody Macbook that is a couple of years old. It has a 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 duo processor. It is the 13 inch version. It works well other than battery life.

I am considering either selling it and applying the proceeds to newer machine since I can get much better battery life. The other option is to replace the battery in it. However, those batteries that are compatible with it, are not very long lasting batteries.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

It may last 2.5 hours if I am lucky. It has a cycle count under the power category of 401. The battery condition is listed as normal.
