Current Macbook owner... upgrade to MBP?

Bought my MB less than 6 mos ago and looking at upgrading to the MBP 2.4/2GB/160GB model. Currently w/ MB w/ 2.16/2GB/160GB... don't know if i'm gonna see a whole lot of overall speed and improvements. appx 10% speed increase? Geta corp discount via Apple at 8% and assume I could sell my MB to lower my out of pocket expenses overall...

Any feedback on overall speed/performance increases between these 2 models? The FW800's a plus but at what cost?
