iPod touch Current new touches come with iOS 4?

Currently, when you buy a new touch from the store, does it comes with iOS 4 on it, or still 3.x?

I am not sure about it. I would say the new generation will have iOS 4 "from the factory". The old ones have iPhone OS 3 on it. At least this was the case a year ago.

When I plugged into the pc today an update to 4.0.2 came up.I downloaded it and was wondering,is it an update or is my touch messing up as I already uploaded 4.0 when it was first available?

I believe all new touches ship with iOS 3, and you have to manually download iOS 4 with iTunes on your computer.

I don't recommend the 4.0.2 if you have a Ipod touch 2G. Battery performance is lousy. It's better to wait for Apple to fix it. I don't know about the Ipod touch 3G but avoid the 4.0.2.
