So I have been managing my photographs manually because I use Photoshop to edit and am always disappointed by software like Aperture, Lightroom, etc. but the newest Aperture brought some new features that made me want to use it including the ability to organize HD video, vaults, and the ability to sync libraries. I have now spent two days trying to get my 15,000+ photos into the program but it keeps crashing! This is mostly a rant, but my question is has anyone had Aperture 3 stability problems like me? Is it only because I am trying to get it to ingest tens of thousands of photos? Will it get better?

Thanks guys

My Library is smaller then yours (50%) but my 2.53GHz is easily handling Aperture 3. While I'm not trying to diminish your issues, the problems are affecting all users. My library is > 40 gig and I was able to import it into AP3. I made sure I turned off faces (as that was really slowing the process down) and after a few hours, it was done
