I ordered an iPhone 5S with 7-10 days shipping.

I cancelled it when I saw one was available at my local apple store.

Turns out, it wasn't. I'm screwed.
:(
 
they are coming in every day. Keep checking you will get one before oct 7 anyway.
 
Check the option where you can buy it and see if it's available for next day pick up. Check at 10 exactly. You'll get one.
 
It's going to be tough depending on which color. I ordered a gold and it will be like mid October I'm told. Hopefully sooner
 
Just keep checking, they go in and out of stock all day long. If you don't get one today, there is tomorrow and the next day - still sooner than October 7.
 
I really hope I can get one tomorrow. I'm so sad. :(

What does checking at 10 do? I'm a little confused. Everyone's saying this.

Wouldn't it be the same stock as 9:50?
 
10pm is when the in-store stock is updated to reflect the next days inventory.

Seems like the local stores are getting more on. A friend of mine just went and exchanged for a gold 5S. They say they have plenty in stock now.
 
lol I bet there will be tons of refurb space gray and gold iphones in time. silver refurbs will be rare xD
 
People changing their phones, especially those who bought a space gray because it was the only one available in store.

I also think there might be plenty of people that swap gold for another color, shoot I might end up being one of those. I wanted a white iphone for sure, but we'll see if I prefer gold or silver :)
 
I called the Apple store and the lady said that there's people camped out for the Gold, so I'll be hard pressed to get one. :/
 
Screwed? Really? Why do people go out of their way to give sane Apple fans a bad name with this over the top nonsense?
 
I think they update throughout the day and not just at 10. Yesterday, they randomly updated at around 3pm and that's how I got my Gold 5S.
 
You'll be okay. These phones will be in mass stock around late October/November.

Well, maybe not the gold, but the other colors should be widely available after a month or two of the early adopters and their obsessions with getting in on the desire to get it when it launched.
