I know this question might have been asked before, but since there is a new JB today for 4.3, I want to make sure I've got it all right so I don't lose my settings/JB apps.

My iPhone 4 is currently Jailbroken and running on 4.1. I want to keep settings/themes/all apps and JB apps as well. What are the steps to makes sure I keep all of it? Thanks.

You'll need pkgbackup to preserve your Cydia apps. I didn't have that many, so I didn't bother purchasing it.

I went through the same upgrade process on my 3gs today with no apparent issues.

1. Backup via iTunes
2. Upgrade IPSW via iTunes
3. Jailbreak with redsn0w
4. Manually re-install Cydia apps

edit: There was one error message from iTunes stating that carrier information was unavailable, but I figured that was due to me putting the phone on airplane mode before starting. I didn't want any calls or text coming in until the process was finished.
