Currently on 2.10.04, iOS 4.1, worth saving baseband?

I want to upgrade my iphone 4 to iOS 4.3.1 and jailbreak it. I have been waiting for an unlock for a long time, but still hasn't appeared. Is there a point in me waiting for unlock for 2.10.04, or should i just skip to the latest baseband?

I'm in the same position. I chose to keep the old baseband.

Reason being, if they find an exploit in the older baseband that was later patched, you'll kick yourself for upgrading. Keeping the older baseband means if they find an exploit in the newer basebands, and release it, you can always upgrade to it if it isn't backwards compatible with the old one.
