It's on a stand, on my desk, as it was bought for me by my late grandmother.

I'm wondering if I could use it for something?

I'm not into fitness, but I do track my sleep. Charging isn't a problem, as the S10 charges extremely fast.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Wishing you well.

I have an U2 and S7 Ti, I wear the U2 for like a day and a half incl sleep tracking and then it goes on the charger overnight. For that night I wear my S7 for sleep tracking.
BTW, I charge on my S0 puck so rarely any fast charging…

Perhaps as a little retro desk clock?

Thanks for the suggestion.

I was actually looking at them!

There's also a retro Game Boy, too.

I'd get one, if there was a way to keep the time on 24/7. As far as I'm aware, you have to "nudge" the watch to get it to display the time.

Thanks again, and take care.

Can keep the old watch around for "just in case", should some problem arise with everyday driver.

And along those lines, I keep my old SE around for situations where I might harm the main driver. I got the SE because I destroyed the 3 I had via some canyoneering. Banged the heck out of the display on rock walls/faces. Lesson learned: take it off when the stuff gets a little more technical and if forget to take it off, at least have the beater watch on.

(This can be applied to working on the car, home projects, etc that might ding up the current watch)

Good point.

Thanks for the advice.

And it’s an S8, so not exactly old.

Much appreciated 👍🏼.

It has a limited lifespan. If it’s not being used, I’d consider that there comes a point where selling the watch will no longer pay for a family dinner in her honour and it will eventually, and unfortunately, become unusable.

Put it on the dog and see how many steps he gets in a day.

Thanks, H.

Maybe I'll just keep it on the display stand, as I have it.

I might charge it every so often, to keep the battery healthy.

Thanks again, and be well 👍🏼.

You know what?

I’ve come up with a situation as you suggested: Housework.

When I thoroughly clean my place, I have always taken my watch off, because I’ve been worried about damaging it. Now, I’ll wear my S8, so will be able to take calls, receive email & messages etc, without worrying.

Also, I’ve put the silver Milanese loop on the watch, which is what it was bought for.

Charging and updating, now.

Thanks again for your suggestion ✌🏼.
