When I wake my computer half the time I do not have a cursor. Is anyone else having this issue?

Sometimes when I open apps and shake my mouse it comes back. I also usually use expose to start my screen saver and then shake the mouse to turn it off.

FYI: i7 iMac with Magic Mouse

Have you ever had an external display attached to the Mac? Also, try clicking on "Detect Displays" in System Preferences>Displays.

I have noticed this also in Mac OS X 10.6.3, except I have a cursor, but no login screen.

I do have an external display connected, which seems to be the issue.

I do have an external display connected. 2 as a matter of fact, a 20" ACD and a 7" Mimio for activity monitor (and they say there are no games for the mac) I did have a bunch of problems when the mimio was usb'd into the cinema display but nothing once I plugged it directly into the iMac.

I, however, do not think that is the problem since when I got to work this morning it happened here on my 24" white iMac. Again using the Magic Mouse.
