I have a 12" pb, 1.5, running 10.4.10.

Started to notice the cursor freezing when I would wake the computer from sleep. Now, the cursor freezes on start up. The PB starts up just fine and I am able to access keyboard commands in Finder. I tried plugging in a USB mouse to see if it was a trackpad problem and it isn't. The cursor is just frozen.

I've zapped pram, I've repaired permissions, I've run disk utility to repair the drive, and a Mac genius did an archive and install (of 10.4.6), which seemed to work until I did the combo update to 10.4.10, and the cursor froze on start up. Thought maybe it was 10.4.10 doing this, so did an archive and install again and this time did a combo update to 10.4.7. Still no luck.

I booted the 12" PB from an external bootable drive of another PB. Seemed to work just fine, no hiccups. Anyone have suggestions? Mac genius thinks it may be the internal hard drive, but could it be something else software related like a corrupted preference? Anyone encounter this before?
