My Mac's cursor tracking speed keeps resetting itself whenever I reboot.
I can set the preference again but as soon as I shut down or restart it's right back to being super-sensitive.

At first I thought it was interference from my other (bluetooth) mouse. But I disconnected it and am still having the issue.

Has anybody else experienced this?

I think I've solved the issue.

It seems that MagicPrefs was to blame. It has its own sensitivity setting that overrides OS X's and every time you restart it is launched again.
Just disabling was not enough, so I removed it from my startup items.
