Cursor Unresponsive in 'File/Save As' or 'File/Export As' Dialogue Boxes

Can someone give me advice on the best way to troubleshoot this irritating issue that has occurred in all version software Tahoe I've tried.?

In 'File/Save As' or 'File/Export As' dialogue boxes, my cursor has a lag of about 2-3 secs on every keyboard press which is making it unusable.

If I boot into Safe Mode on the same account, the issue still persists.

However, if I create a new account and log into it, the problem is not there.

Seems to be be only the boxes I mentioned, and that is in all apps, e.g. Safari, Preview, Excel, etc.

Any help appreciated.

Try deleting/moving

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.appkit.xpc.openAndSavePanelService.plist

or possibly any files that contain SharedFileList in the name inside your ~/Library.

These kinds of bugs are just totally unacceptable for released macOS versions.
People are trying to literally get work done with this software.

Attached: 1 image Running macOS 26.1 and noticing the file browser is painfully slow when closing, saving, or opening files. Plenty of SSD space and no memory-hogging apps. Restart didn’t help. Anyone else seeing this?
