Cursur problem....any advice appreciated.

Hi, My cursor has started disappearing. It does it pretty regularly and no matter how much I move the mouse around, it doesn't come back. I can sometimes tell where it is if it passes over an icon on my desktop. My first reaction was to change the batteries,(rechargeable) then I connected my trackpad, but still get the same problem.

When does this vanishing act occur?

Does it come back after a Restart?

Create a new clean user account, login to the new user account and see if the issue happens in the new user account.
