Custom baseband 4S 5.0.1 help request pls

Can I update custom firmware to 5.0.1 on 4S from 5.0 stock without the baseband upgrade using pawnage and then do the untether jailbreak.?

I don't think there is a difference in basebands between 5.0 and 5.0.1... I may be mistaken.

I believe there is or maybe I'm wrong.
this is what I found.
Step 6) If you are waiting for an unlock, do not jailbreak and restore iOS 5.0 to your 4s using this guide here.

There is a difference in basebands!! Stay on 5.0 of u want chance of unlock. I don't see why the new JB wouldn't work with 5.0, it should
