Custom Firmware Won't Load?

I have an iPhone 3G, 6.15.00 baseband...

I've tried reloading it (stuck in loop after the people updated it), and it just won't work. I placed the phone in pwn DFU mode using redsn0w, went to itunes and chose the custom restore (off another forum), and it just won't work. It gets stuck at "Preparing iPhone for restore".

Maybe try a different computer, USB wires, ports etc.

Try going down to official 3.1.3
