Here's the deal:

Installed WoW a while ago, and played a bunch. Then I installed CandyBar, and changed some icons (including the WoW icon) and then WoW no longer worked. It gave me an error message about changing files or something I can't remember now.

Anyway, has anyone else run into this problem, or know how to avoid it (aside from the obvious 'don't use CandyBar')?

World of Warcraft works by checking the MD5 sums of the files with the server information I believe. If they are different it causes problems. My suggestion would be to go back to the original icon.

Cool, thanks. It's still a big pain in the neck, haha. Even after I went back to the original, it did not work, so I had to reinstall WoW. :(
