Custom Icon in rEFIt

I finally found the Vista icon to use in rEFIt. I renamed it os_vista.icns and put it in the Icon folder of rEFIt. Now when I boot I get the OSX logo but still have the same Windows logo for both XP and Vista. What's more is whichever Windows icon I click on it launched Vista - i cannot launch XP. I had to remove the rEFIt folder from the root directory so I could go back to the "old" way of triple booting (holding the Option key).
Anyone had any success using different icons for the various Windows OS?
If so please let me know where I'm going wrong.
