Im on an iPhone 3gs 4.2 (jb of course).

I am very comfortable SSH'ing but I have a couple of questions that I just can't seem to find the answer for.

How in the world do I take these big resolution icons that are posted everywhere on this forum and use them? There is something I am just NOT getting. Whenever I put these icons in my custom theme, they show up for sure... However they are HUGE!

Help... Anyone?

You need to use a photo editing software/program to resize the icons down to about 60x60 (you can be at 58x58 or whatever and still be ok) pixels in order for them to work on your phone. Most of the ones around here are 118x118 pixels in size bcuz of the iPhone retina display.

Seriously? That simple?

I really thought that somehow internally it would do that on it own.

Thank You!

Yep, that should do it in most cases. Most icon themes will usually have

icon.png
icon@2x.png

the icon.png is the one you want since it's for 3G/S. The icon@2x is for the iPhone since it's double the size of the normal icon, hence @2x.

If you have a theme with icons like the above mentioned then, yeah, it'll do it automatically. If you are simply SSH'ing icons one by one then you'll need to resize in order for them to look right.
