Custom Medical Dictionary in Pages

I have added a medical dictionary into Dictionary.app by putting it in the Library/Dictionaries folder, however the words aren't showing up in spellcheck for Pages. Can custom dictionaries for Dictionary.app be used in Pages or TextEdit?

Or if not does anyone know of a medical dictionary that is compatible with Pages? I'm sick of all those squiggly lines in my notes!
