Hi everyone,
Here i've found the easy way to put ur custom ringtones on 1.1.1 iPhone with any version of iTunes and u can do it on Windows. I got it to work, just follow step by step. U'll need three things, ur iPHone with 1.1.1 firmware, any iTunes and iPhoneBrowser (which i've downloaded here http://code.google.com/p/iphonebrowser/ )

CHeck back if u got it to work.
Here we go:

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww: Windows.

iPhoneRingtoneMaker for Windows already has a version for 1.1.1 that does this for you using this same method.

It ultimately has the same problem as this solution though. When you sync with iTunes it wipes out your custom Ringtones.plist. You have to go back and put your saved Ringtones.plist back in place to restore you custom ringtones.

Plus using the spoof method in the Ringtones.plist is unreliable. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. There's a couple dozen threads about this. Last I saw, no one had figured out why it works sometimes and does not other times.

I broke down and just paid the $.99 for my "Rock Start" ringtone. :(

Doesn't look as easy as iphoneringtonemaker or iToner, but this is free! Thanks. :)
