Neither my custom ringtones nor those purchased through iTunes are playing. I set to a song ringtone, called my iPhone to test . It does not play the song ringtone. Tried this with multiple ringtones, both custom & purchased. Only plays a standard ringtones. All custom & purchased ringtones are showing up in iTunes & on my iPhone. Synching is set to 'all ringtones''. Does anyone have a solution? Why won't my ringtones ring when I get a call & it defaults to a standard ringtone?

custom ringtones are not playing

Did you set the Default ringtone to be a custom tone? Or just for a specific caller. If just for a caller, make sure you have the area code stored for your contact (yourself in this case) as even though the phone will know who is calling, for the custom ringtone to play, the full phone number is required.
