Hi to all,
Just upgraded to Lion and was a bit hesitant based on some of the reviews but so far seems great. Love that Launchpad has it's own gesture, plus love the structure of mission control.

One question though, I can't seem to be able to cut a file and paste it somewhere.

Does anybody know how cut/paste works in Lion?

Thanks!

After copying your file(s), holding down the option key while either in the edit or contextual (right-click) menu will show "move file here". Effectively cutting and pasting the copied file(s). Or you can just use the shortcut command-control-v.

Also discussed in this thread.
