I'll be going on holiday in London in about a month, I had my trusty O2 payg sim with about*£25 top up credit on it. I frequent England and like to keep it available. I cut it down to 3FF and it worked originally, however it has now ceased to function. I'm just wondering, if I stop in an O2 shop when I arrive, will I be able to get a replacement sim (preferably micro) and have the topup be transferred to that sim? I cut it off, but still have the ICCID from the cut card. Thanks!

I just arrived in London yesterday and one of the first things I set about doing was to try and get a microsim for my iPhone 4. No O2 stores have them for pay go accounts. Apparently I need to call customer care and get one delivered if I want it. So I'll either cut down my current or leave it in the unlocked 3G we brought in case. Hopefully they'll be available in store when you get here.

I've got 2 pay and go micro sims from o2 shops
They have them everywhere.

Just go in and ask for a replacement pay and go micro sim.

Then ring o2 and get your number transferred to the new sim.

Interesting. I will try another shop today. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for this headsup. I got a microsim from the notting hill gate location. Staff there were loads more helpful than at the shop I went to yesterday when I was told they weren't available.
