I'll post his again so it's more easily found. Many of us have discovered that dock "top" pops off with a small screwdriver and the two sided tape underneath. You can then cut off the well and the phone with bumper works fine. If you want to fabricate a front, go ahead, I just filled in the space with a popsicle stick for now as I don't care as it's in my home office. But a small piece of white plastic dremeled from the cut off piece would work fine.
