CUVC codec for mac?

Hi, I got an AVI video that I cannot play on my mac. I tried with MPlayerX and QuickTime Player and VLC. Non of them plays the video and the VLC shows a message saying that I need "CUVC codec" to play that video.

How do I install that codec?

Any tips would be highly appreciated.

I just installed "Grass Valley HQX/HQ Codecs Pack for Mac OS X 10.7 (v1.01)" from the http://www.grassvalley.com/support/downloads/products?product=&download=626 site and now the video file shows a thumbnail! And If I click on the small play button on the thumbnail it plays the video as well. But if I open it on QuitckTime it doesn't play the video.
