I have some old .cwk files I want to look at but Pages does not touch this prefix.

Is there anyway I can view these files or convert them for use ?

iWork 09' does it I think.... Otherwise, is the megaconverter MaclinkPlus Deluxe still around? (just checked: no)

OpenOffice maybe? Abiword?

Thanks but OpenOffice does not do it and Abiword just does not work on my machine.

I have iwork but it is asking for a serial number which after looking seems is no longer a viable product.

I have the same problem for an important legal document...downloaded Filemaker Pro and it failed to work...Apple left us hanging on this and it makes me mad.

Thanks to all that suggested ideas but it seems the answer was simple, always the way, ready ?

Here is the solution, i loaded a couple of .cwk files into guess what ? TextEdit, from there copy the text you want then paste it into Pages, or the program of your choice, save, job done :)

That doesn't preserve formatting, and may not always capture all of the text, but if it works for you that's really all that matters.

Yea, the documents are only small that I did this with, also it will get re formatted when pasted into Pages etc, its the words I want not so much as the formatting.

Thanks for the pointer towards LibraOffice also does the job for me.
