Recently bought the R.A.T. 5 mouse for some light gaming on my MBP but I've run into a problem.

Basically, I'm trying to keybind actions on the various mouse buttons. Sounds easy in practice, but in reality I'm only able to bind actions to the two side mouse buttons (without any modifiers) and the mouse wheel button. Pretty underwhelming so far.

To get around this I downloaded USB Overdrive. I'm not entirely sure what I did when I first opened it, but was eventually able to utilize the two side mouse buttons with modifiers (shift, control, etc). Better than nothing I guess.

Problem is I went back into USB Overdrive to mess around with binding functions later. When I loaded back into WoW, its as if I'd never even downloaded USB OD, no more modifiers on the side buttons and I can't bind anything to the horizontal scroll wheel or red precision button (not that I could before, but I'd sure as hell like to).

It seemed as if the two programs were interfering with each other, so I just uninstalled the Cyborg Programming software and went right into USB Overdrive. It recognized all the buttons I'd previously been unable to bind and I'm assuming modifiers for them in game were very possible. I jumped from having just three buttons, to five buttons, to three, to 10+.

One small problem. The mac drivers which fixed quite a few of the imprecise mouse functionality problems seems to have disappeared with the Cyborg Software. So I have the all the buttons I want, but might as well be using a paperweight since clicking on anything is insanely difficult and the mouse won't recognize the "hover state".

I've tried reinstalling both and neither back and forth with no progress. I later tried downloading the Cyborg WoW profile pack which for some reasons doesn't even show up at all-though every other game profile does. Its just a grayed out and not selectable.

What am I doing wrong? If anyone has found a work around for this I'd be really grateful! Can anyone recommend any other multi button gaming mice compatible with mac OS?
