Solution needed for Cycorder on iOS 4.2.1 iPhone 3G

so i got my 3G ...does cycorder not work on 4.2.+

I asked the same question over here yesterday:
- Why would Cycorder simply flash black & blank out on a jailbroken Ios4.x iPhone 3G?

If the OP can pitch in, over there, we may come up with a viable solution, whether it be:
  1. Downgrading to an earlier operating system, or ...
  2. Upgrading to a later version of Cycorder, or ...
  3. Giving up on Cycorder in favor of a freeware iPhone 3G app that 'does' work on iOS 4.2.1

3rd time I posted this for Cycorder it doesn't work on 4.0+ firmware use 3.1.3 best firmware for the 3G any way!

Understood.

In fact, that option is fully understood.

The goal, however, for some of us (especially those, like I, who are new to Apple products and for whom downgrading the iOS is not the first thing we do in order to get desired functionality). At least not with super careful thought as to the ramifications to the other fifty or so installed applications.

For us, the 'desired goal' is to either figure out what is wrong with Cycorder (which, I agree, isn't highly likely) ... or ... to find ANOTHER freeware application that performs the desired task.

To that end, I'm currently googling the record to find all the viable video recorders for the iPhone 3G on iOS 4.x.

The first suggested one I found was QiK, which (unlike Cycorder) does at least state its iOS support on their download page ... however QiK is not freeware so ... it would be a useful solution only if a freeware video application isn't found that also works on iOS 4.x.

I'll next try Camerca and report back to the team so everyone benefits from the combined effort for a solution that moves us forward.
