Anyone else experiencing this?

Ok. It only happens when I go to manage>packages and scroll down to "P". I can use the right side letters and go all the way down to "Z" and it doesn't crash until I scroll up to "R". What in P or R would make it crash like that?

Seeing as you are jailbroken on 4.0, you won't be tethered. There might be some interference with the OS & Cydia. They did just recently upgrade Cydia. I suppose if I were you, I'd respring first. If that doesn't work, turn the phone off, then back on. If that's no good, you might need to try the rejailbreak method. If I remember correctly, the jailbreakme website could work with 4.0. Otherwise, you might need to upgrade & jailbreak some newer OS.

It looks like it crashes when I scroll to ihackstores repo icons. Is there a way to remove this aside from manage>packages?

The "scrolling crash" in Cydia can usually be corrected by updating to the latest version of Cydia. I think the new version is 1.033667 or something like that. Once you update, the crashing should be fixed.

It also crashes when I do a search on "repo" or search "rep" and scroll to repo.

Almost positive the ihackstore repo icons is causing it.

Now how to remove it?

Double post

on idevicedaily.com if you go back probably a few weeks, there will be a thing about the new cydia with a download link. download it in safari download manager and install using ifile then reboot.

It almost sounds like you might have to remove the ihackstore repo altogether. Under manage, tap sources, tap edit in the top right corner, then tap the red button to the left of ihackstore, when delete comes up, tap that & see if that fixes the problem. If you are on the latest version of Cydia & you're sure that this repo is the problem, then that may be what you have to do to stop Cydia from crashing.

I tried to delete tha repo but it popped up a warning that cydia and/or ios needs it or it may not work anymore.

I did do a reinstall... Still crashes

I fixed it. Updated to latest Cydia (3366-7) and no more crashes.
