Just installed evasi0n on my friends new iPod 5G 6.1.2, it said it installed fine, but Cydia crashes the instant I launch it. Tried rejailbreaking but it thinks I'm using semitether. Any ideas?

Wow that's strange. Someone earlier posted that they just jailbroke their device and Cydia was crashing too. The evaders just updated evasion to 1.51 to include an updated package list. Did you use that version? If so, if I were you I'd use version 1.5 and see if that works.
Right after a fresh restore and jailbreak the iPhone requires a SYNC with iTunes and/or a reboot.
