I just jailbroke my ipad mini 6.1.2. After it said the jailbreak was successful I tried to open Cydia. Says "preparing filesystem". It then resprings. Does this every time I try and run cydia.

I dont want to restore because then I am stuck with 6.1.3

Can anyone help???????

Did you install anything from cydia?

This happens the first time you open cydia.
Then tweaks you install most of the time requires a respring.

No this started happening the first time I tried using it.

I know it resprings when you install new tweaks and themes, but this happens when I'm trying to open cydia. It says preparing filesystem then crashes and resprings. Over and over again. Never have the ability to open cydia.

you can try if resetting cydia helps or not

use ifile or ifunbox:

Navigate to /private/etc/apt/sources.list.d

Delete the file "cydia.list"

Navigate to /var/lib/apt/lists

Delete all of the files in this folder except the one called "lock"

Navigate to /var/lib/apt/lists/partial

Delete all of the files in this folder

Navigate to /var/lib/cydia

Delete the file "metadata.plist"

Restart Cydia. You should be at the first screen you saw when you first started Cydia: What kind of user are you? Make your selection and Cydia will re-generate the default sources.

That worked! But now after I choose the user and click done, it crashed.

I rejailbroke it using evasi0n and it worked!

Thanks for the help!
