Cydia hang on downloading packages

Hey guys, is anyone else having cydia hang on "Downloading Packages" when the store first gets launched? I keep having to make it cancel, otherwise it just sits there for ten minutes on the downloading packages screen.

Ideas?

i've been seeing this when trying to add some repos. i have to kill the cydia process and edit my cydia.list file to remove the repos. i've just given up adding some repos even though they supposedly work.
