So I'm running impactor. How long does it take? It seemed to have worked but it's now stuck on the Apple for about 10 mins. Is this normal?

My understanding (I've never used it) is that it could take a considerable amount of time.

One user on reddit mentioned that it was running for at least a day.

well crap....i don't have that kind of time. i'm leaving tomorrow on a cruise around 2p and i was hoping to have this done tonight. fingers crossed.

so you think the apple logo is normal? i should just let it be and do its thing?

I've no idea. I'm sorry, but I've never used it.

Just swapped carriers and lucked out and got a 128gb 6+ on 8.4. I ran cydia impactor with NOTHING on my phone and it took 15 or so minutes. If you have 115gb of memory used well, it could take a bit longer lol...

**The reason I did it was to get rid of the settings update badge**

Any suggestions? it's been running now for about 3 hours?

so I just needed to turn off and back on my phone. ugh. what a PITA!

Do not touch it while it is running. When I ran it it took about 20 minutes from what I can remember. When it started did it go straight to the Apple logo or could you see text running very quickly across the screen?

You should also have your phone plugged into the power because if it reboots at a critical time it will brick. In saying that the critical time is near the end.

Glad you got it sorted in time to leave!!! Possibly just a glitch and the phone didn't reboot all the way for whatever reason.. Maybe when you get back try un-syncing your data and run it again and not be so Jumpie:p

Glad it worked out.
How are you guys that also tried it making out with impactor?
Its a great option to have available.
Now only if tinyumbrella also gets updated and lets us go down and up as we please with ios versions with saved blobs. That would be great.

It worked perfectly for me when I tried it a while back. I'm going to have to do it again next week I think because my iPhone 6 has a really loose and clicky home button so I'm going to have to make an appointment with my local Apple Store. Hopefully they can fix it and not replace the phone.
