cydia keeps crashing

cydia crashed today while i was installing an app, and now whenever i try to open it, it crashes again. sometimes it'll get to the "loading data" or whatever screen, but most of the time it just opens and closes. i've tried rebooting my phone but to no avail.

any tips?

is that really my only option?
is there a way i can restore just cydia?



edit: i fixed it. luckily i had mobile terminal installed or i probably would've had to do a restore.

su
password
apt-get remove cydia
apt-get install cydia

then reboot.
