Cydia problems on iPhone 3G!

Hey guys
I'm having problems with my new unlocked/jailbroken iPhone 3G.
Before I installed a source onto cydia and then after that whenever I ran it, it would not get past the loading data screen, even after rebooting
Then I decided to install Icy thru iphone explorer on the computer
Next I thought I would remove and reinstall Cydia Installer thru Icy but now I can't find a way to reinstall Cydia!
Help me please

Icy is dead and abandoned a long time ago.
I think you messed up with things you were not suppose to.
Best bet would be to restore and rejailbreak. Dont try to install icy, Rock, installer or the nintendo homebrew channel on it next time

The store who I bought it from on ebay said not to update the phone or anything or it'll brick it? I have a vers 3.1.3 unlocked iphone with the modem firmware being 06.15.00. I need to keep it unlocked since i have tmobile. How should I jailbreak and keep the phone unlocked?

It takes work and research to restore, rejailbreak and unlock again.
Read up on it to become comfortable before you attempt anything.
