Cydia SHSH iOS4 only

Hello, there!

I know, this is a hot discussed topic, but strolling the forum I didn´t really find a solution for my particular case.

I bought an iPhone 3Gs with iOS4.0 installed, jailbreaked it, reapplied it with all my software and pressed "Make my life easier" within Cydia. I had much to do, so I forgot to update to iOS4.0.1 and now iOS4.0.2 is released and the signing of iOS4.0.1 has stopped.

For a couple of days Cydia showed a pending TSS request, but now suddenly it shows I have the SHSH for iOS4 on the server.

What I want to know: Can I trust this? Singing for iOS4 ended long ago and it doesn´t mention iOS4.0.1 - as I understand, Saurik takes over signing SHSHs once you have provided one.

Can anyone give me any help on this?
 
If it says you have 4.0.1 saved you are good.

Try using tiny umbrella to sign a 4.0.1 install. Worst case, it fails.

... thought about this, but then I am depending on the Jailbreak due to unlocking the iPhone. A failed iOS4.0.1 install with no option to go but iOS4.0.2 is no real option for me at the moment.

So to be specific: When Cydia says it has SHSH iOS4 on its server, can I definitely trust this information?

I just used "Umbrella" to cache my SHSH, according to the log it cached for iOS4.0.2, unfortunately:

... I tried to save SHSHs for iOS4.01 and iOS4.0 from "Umbrella", and it worked so far:

So does this mean now, I am save for any downgrade/upgrade in between iOS4 and 4.0.2?

I am still puzzled, because I sent the SHSH request to Cydia from iOS4 with the signing period way over for iOS4.0.1 - and the seller told me for certain he never jailbreaked so far.

Well Tinyumbrella says you have the SHSH blobs for 4.0.1. When did you first jailbreak the phone? It must have been before they stopped signing 4.0.1. The firmware on your phone doesn't matter, what matters is what Apple is signing at the time.
 
You got SHSH blobs saved for 4.0, 4.0.1 and 4.0.2. you are good.

... confusion came as I jailbreaked it running iOS4.0 more then one weak after iOS4.0.2 was announced and signing for iOS4.0.1 stopped around that time. I thought that signing for IOS4.0 must have been discontinued a long time ago - mind, this iPhone never ran iOS4.0.1 - so after staring on Cydias message "Pending TSS request" for one week, I already felt miserable and in need to wait for the iOS4.1 jailbreak. So I was quite amazed to see that SHSH files for iOS4.0, 4.0.1 and 4.0.2 were indeed available to me. Cydia now shows SHSH availability iOS4, but nothing else; Tiny Umbrella saved three hashes, though. I won´t argue anymore, I just needed some second thought on this.

It´s iMagic ... or hacktastic - I don´t know which one ...

Well, ...

... but it must be, because I bought it on August 12th with a fresh iOS4.0 native install, I jailbreaked on the 22nd without upgrading to iOS4.0.1. The seller told me for sure, he never jailbreaked the device.

I am happy, anyway.
