Cydia update

So, I loaded up Cydia and did an upgrade essentials but it failed. I just tried to reboot the phone and it keeps shutting off at the apple screen. Did anyone else have this problem?

No, mine went thru.
But cydia is probably overloaded at the moment with the new JB and tons of people acessing it.
Try irecovery to see if it loads up again.

i had to restore yesterday, and i'm not happy with they riff raff they are now allowing into Cydia.
i am no longer segregated from the 3.1.3 idiots

Same thing happened to my 3.1.3 GS. I'll need to restore later. Both rock and cydia failed to update and after reboot, bricked my phone.

I will have to restore later today too. Did the update last night and mine is the same way. Will not load past the Apple logo. Hopefully the phone isnt completely hosed.

Same thing happened to me on my 3G today, I had to manually enter DFU mode for itunes to see the phone! WTF?

The same exact thing happened to me. I had to go into recovery mode to get it back then it forced an update to 3.1.3 to restore.

I lost everything since my last backup, plus all my jailbreak files!!!

I don't know who did this update, but more testing should have been done! Seriously pissed me off!!

That's so weird. I did the same update this morning and mine is fine. I wonder if it has to do with firmware version and/or type of device? Mine is a 3g on 3.1.2.
