Hey all. I have a new bootrom 3GS on vanilla 4.3.5 that I'd like to jailbreak. (I'm fully aware that it will be tethered.) I just tried jailbreaking with redsn0w 0.9.8b4 pointed at 4.3.4, and it completed the process, but upon unlocking my phone, Cydia is only listed as a white icon and crashes when opened. Any ideas? Should I just try running redsn0w again?

If the 3Gs is running 4.3.5, use the proper version of redsn0w for it. Mac and Windows and don't forget to boot tethered or the unlock/jailbreak things won't work.

So b7 is preferred over b4? Also, after the jailbreak process the phone boots itself. Should I turn it off and boot tethered from there?

b7 recognizes 4.3.5 and properly enable ultrasn0w on 4.3.4 and 4.3.5. After the jailbreak, turn the iPhone off and boot tethered.
