Hey guys,

After the jailbreak my Cydia icon went white. I googled the problem and it said to install something free from Cydia in order to fix it. So I did. But it's still there! I tried refreshing the Cydia database but that didn't work as well. Help?

Have you tried installing Winterboard and doing a respring?

Doing a respring, yes. But I don't use Winterboard so I didn't install it. I'm doing a restore then re-jailbreaking at the moment so if it still doesn't work then I'll try Winterboard.

This can happen at any time it seems. The usual fix for me is installing/uninstalling something in Cydia. Anything that requires a respring will do.

If you have SBSettings installed, you can go to its settings pane, go to "More Options," and click "Fix Permissions." With installing things from Cydia, sometimes the system either misplace or forgets where files to display the icons are. That permissions toggle fixes it.
