Cydia will not open on 4.2.1 iphone4

So I used pwnage tool to create a custom firmware for my iphone 4. and I installed it but now cydia will not open. it opens then closes right away. anyone have any similar issues or a fix? I've got the iphone 4 32gb ios4.2.1 running the 01.59.00 firmware. any help would be appreciated. i cant use my iphone i need to unlock it :-(

Try this:

But use iPhone Explorer or similar to overwrite the files.

thanks but it didn't work. iphonebrowser says my phone isn't jailbroken. that's weird ive run the jailbreak custom firmware a few times. but cydia still closes right away after being open.

Just to double check: you didn't install extra cydia programs in pwnage, right?
You might have to create another firmware. It's possible there was some sort of corruption in its creation. Personally, pwnage works perfectly, unless I mess around with it too much.
